These are called False because they their source is not the Holy Spirit, but rather human natural or acquired ability (some of them could be inspired by other spirits (possibly demonic.)

 

1. Artistry

It is the ability to express thoughts and feelings in different fashions which may or may not inspire others.

 

 

2. Celibacy:

Jesus did not speak of celibacy as a Spiritual gift but rather he said the celibacy is not natural and can be caused by one of three reasons for celibacy:

   (1) Congenital deformation,

   (2) Physical trauma leading to loss of genitals, and

   (3) The will or a decision not to marry, which describes Paul's celibacy. Paul was married and his Orthodox wife divorced him. For this reason he spent three years in Nabatea (Arabia) to recover for the shock and to restudy the Scriptures in the light of the Messiah Yeshua Jesus, (1 Corinthians 7:7). Today, single and celibate people are oftentimes abandoned or deceived by unfaithful spouse.

Celibacy is not natural and it is extremely painful, but it is more painful to be with an unfaithful spouse who violates God’s moral law.

 

 

3. Counseling:

Counseling is acquired by education, training and experiences. To be a counselor, a psychotherapist, a psychiatrist, a psychologist, or a clinical therapist is not from YHWH the Holy Spirit. This is a naturally acquired talent and skill based on studies and knowledge.

Anyone can be a licensed therapist (counselor). Many people are not even licensed, but they arrogantly believe that they are talented because their clients love them. They may love these counselor because of their facial or body features or because they know how to speak sweetly and hypnotize their clients.

Pastors who presume that they are counselors by virtue of their Church ordination are simply arrogant. Counseling has several branches, multi-level therapeutic Schools and it is critical for the patients.

I personally know a pastor who claimed that he is endowed by the Holy Spirit. He opened a counseling center without license. Two of his clients committed suicide. Several of his clients developed Dissociative Personality Disorder (Multiple Personality). Several of his clients divorced their husband without adultery as the cause. That was really sad. No one could touch him, because he is a pastor.

 

4. Craftsmanship

It is the ability to make, to create, or to repair things.

This is a natural ability and talent. Natural talents are not Spiritual Gift.

 

 

5. Creative Communication:

This is a natural talent and acquired skill. It is easy to mix up and confuse the Spiritual Gift of Teaching with the natural or acquired creative communication. Actually, most Christians in the Churches worship eloquent pastors who are able to wow and mesmerize them with their speech. Let us not confuse God’s Gift with man’s natural or acquired ability.

 

6. Fasting:

It is not a gift of the Holy Spirit. It feels like it requires a special gift from God for those who are not used to fasting. Fasting is considered normal in many cultures other than the American or British cultures, maybe because they do not have abundant food as we have here.

Fasting is healthy, but doctors will scare you of fasting because if you have poor nutrition from the beginning, fasting will add to your poor nutrition.

 

7. Evangelism (Missions - Discipleship):

Yeshua Jesus commanded every true believer to go to all the nations and disciple them to be redeemed and to be obedient to Christ’s Law (The Ten Commandments and the Clean Food Law). Therefore, Evangelism and Discipleship are not special Spiritual Gifts given to the few.

Evangelism and Discipleship are similar to the Spiritual Gift of Prophecy in its application of the Scriptures.

Evangelism is sharing the Gospel with non-believers. It is planting the seed, or watering the seed. It is discipleship to strengthen the new born-again believers.

The Bible does not regard missionary work as to require a supernatural ability. Besides, the Bible defends the establishment of endogenous ministers and ekklyssias.

On the other hand, YHWH may use the Spiritual Gift of Prophecy during evangelism to reach to the heart of the people.

Acts 8:4-6, 26-40; 13:2-3; 14:21; 21:8; 22:20-21; Romans 10:15; 15:18-19; 1 Corinthians 9:18-23; Ephesians 4:11-14; 2 Timothy 4:5.

 

8. Healing:

There are three levels of healing. None of these levels require special Spiritual Gift.

    8 A. Deep Healing of our dead spirits: This Deep Healing belongs to God.

The recreation and regeneration of the spirit to become sons of God.

    8 B. Inner Healing: It brings healing in the inner man, the psyche. It includes casting out demons (exorcism) and breaking generational and other curses from self and others. It breaks seven spiritual bondage which cripple most people. For example, unforgiveness is one of these Seven Bondage. Inner Healing cannot occur unless Deep Healing had occurred.

    8 C. Surface Healing: it is the ability to bring physical healing. A doctor and a natural or functional health practitioner can bring physical healing, either by poisonous medication or by natural food and herbs.

Healing comes when your intercessory prayers are answer.

The only Healer is Abba YHWH. You are not the healer. Pastors who claim to be “Healers” are falsely representing themselves.

A child’s prayer will bring healing.

Acts 3:1-10; 5:12-16; 9:32-35; 28:7-10; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28

 

9. Martyrdom

It is not a gift of the Holy Spirit. It is a state of surrender to God, to His provision and His care.

It may reflect the Spiritual Gift of Faith through which the martyrs see the presence of God at their sides and during the persecution. But, martyrdom itself is not a Spiritual Gift.

 

10. Material Prosperity:

Money and power are promised by Satan to those who worship him.

The believer's prosperity is:

   (1) Spiritual not financial in nature.

    (2) Shared with others and not hoarded.

It is sad to see many (or most) Christians teach that the more money you have, the more God is blessing you.

The enemies of God have more money and the false Christian who are Pastors, Missionaries, Bishops, Cardinals have much more money than the faithful true born-again believers.

 

11. Music

 

Music is a natural talent. Certain musicians leading worship have a powerful position over the worshipers while they are not born again themselves. You do not need to be born again to play spiritual music.

Music is a language of the soul and it has a supernatural value even when used without God or in serving other gods (demons).

Music can be used to honor the Messiah Jesus.

Music is used much more to honor Satan, Hollywood culture, sexual immorality, demonic gods and spirits.

12. Oration - Speaking - Hypnotic Preaching

It is a natural talent which can be developed. It is the ability to speak eloquently

Non-believers and demon worshipers proved to be superior in this art.

This is not a Spiritual Gift of the Holy Spirit, although, at times, God allows faithful believers to speak eloquently, even beyond his or her natural ability in order to convey an important message.

 

13. Poverty

Poverty is considered a gift of the Holy Spirit only by:

   (A) Those who are very rich clergy, who hypnotize the people by telling them that their poverty is God’s gift, while they, the clergy, believe that their money is God’s gift to them.

    (B) People who cannot accept to surrender to the Lord and who believe in Hollywood lies that they must have a high lifestyle. Instead of accepting that poverty is normal to the majority of people in the world and also in America, they think that it requires special powers to accept it.

 

Poverty does not mean having no food or shelter, but it means that you have your needs met, without having a big house, millions of dollars in savings, a yacht, and thousands of dollars to spend every month on leisure and comfort.

There is no evidence in the Bible that poverty is a special gift of the Holy Spirit. Otherwise, we are creating a discriminatory cast system. A Christian can live in poverty or in riches. Yeshua said: “Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” (The focus for the believers is not on the riches, but on meeting the daily needs.)

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

 

14. Prayer

Prayer in general is different from the Spiritual Gift of Intercession. While both are prayers, yet prayers here indicate our daily and hourly communication with YHWH through Yeshua Jesus constantly. This is commanded and expected of all believers, not just the few.

Prayer in general is not a Spiritual Gift of the Holy Spirit, but it is like breathing, worshiping and communicating with YHWH through Jesus always. Every true believer needs to pray continuously.

 

15. Vocal Music

Our voices are natural gift. We can use it to praise God and to evoke spiritual meaning for self and others through singing.

Non-believers and demonic believers also sing with beautiful voices just as Lucifer did, but they sing for their own glory.
